Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust: Branding and Communications

 

OVERVIEW:

Our original client was Sandwell Mental Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, but they were joining with another smaller Trust as they shared certain services and locations.

This new Trust was named Black Country Partnership.

We worked closely with the Trust’s Communications and Executive Teams, engaging with patients and staff, to develop an interesting new style and identity for the organisation.

THE PROJECT:

The Trust’s vision of improving mental health and social care to its patients was reflected in the style of branding that we chose for the project. We took our inspiration from origami – the Japanese art of paper folding – as crafting is proven to improve mental health

Once the style and identity had been approved, we developed a range of communications items. These included:

  • The Trusts new website
  • Templates for annual reports
  • Annual summary
  • Leaflets
  • Posters
  • E-newsletters
  • PowerPoints
  • Banner pull-ups

We even managed the photoshoot for the Trust and produced a new photo library with lots of pictures of real people – both staff and patients.

THE OUTCOMES:

We took the new branding to develop a strong and focused identity for Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This identity represented the vision of improving mental health and social care and delivered them in a graphical manner, which was then rolled out across the Trust. This new identity and branding made a positive difference to the way in which the Trust saw themselves, and how patients felt about the Trust.
